Maplewood United Methodist Church is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!
What To Expect
Expect to be able to relax. We want to meet you wherever you are…no pressure, no judging. We invite and encourage. And we won’t make you stand up in worship and introduce yourself.
Expect to wear what you feel comfortable wearing−jeans, shorts, a tie if you feel it is essential. We don’t care what you wear. Well…maybe no Speedos…for the well-being of the children!
Expect to meet the people who attend Maplewood UMC and find out they are pretty regular folks. We’re people like you who mess up sometimes–sometimes big–regardless of our best intentions. We don’t have all the answers. And we really LIKE questions! Rumor has it that we are pretty friendly too!
Expect that our worship service will last about an hour. We have contemporary and traditional music. The messages are meant to be meaningful and to have something that you can take home and apply to your daily life. One more time…expect to relax because we are NOT about making people feel defensive or ashamed.
